Have your say on the Net

When I started my career path a good 15 years ago, there was no talk of social media. Everything we read in the newspapers, heard on the radio or saw on television was the really important thing. Over the years we have seen the growth of online, the emergence of social networks but more importantly the freedom that each of us has to write and say what we want, where we want. It is frightening the power that any statement, any opinion, any declaration has today if taken seriously and projected on the most diverse channels. There is an assumption of others’ opinions without any analysis or opinion of their own. Just because. Only because at first glance it actually makes sense. But what if it doesn’t? If that opinion or statement has no basis or makes any sense?

Social networks are undeniably important and fundamental nowadays, but we need to use them correctly, without speculation and based on correct and well-founded information.

Even in the business field, we already have excellent examples of how social networks can be an excellent communication platform with your public, as is the case of TAP or even PSP among many others. But there is still much to be done and done well.
